Basically I planned this project to a spatial representation including a very special aspect of these form. However by this topic the starting point was a 2D plane, or rather a plane in a plane phenomenon. Nowadays certain roads are dotted with these so called grave plots, and they turned into surfaces like a Tetris-table. 
All this is az imprint of various layers and temporalities. Road-breaking and - reconstruction itself is very intensive physical work, so its difficult to imagine someone considering aesthetics while doing this dangerous job. And still, each worker made a personal decision about a certain size and shape, and hence they left their mark on the space of the city.
 My choices are of aesthetic nature: where does the lamp give the most appropriate light, or where are patches that seem composed in their randomness. In a similar fashion to the workers, I cut out a detail of the surface, or let the frame I chose cut through the pattern.
